Clear Aligners in Centennial, CO
Straighten your smile with barely-there trays you can remove to eat and brush.
Clear orthodontic aligners gently move teeth a little at a time. They’re thin, nearly invisible, and designed for everyday life. At Holly Dental Associates, we plan your case in-house and keep visits quick so treatment fits your schedule.
Are clear aligners the right treatment for me?
Clear aligners work well for many adults and teens who want a discreet option.
Great candidates typically have:
- Mild to moderate crowding or spacing
- Relapse after past braces
- Small bite corrections (overlap, crossbite, rotated teeth)
- Good oral health and the ability to wear trays as directed
Major jaw changes or severe bite discrepancies sometimes do better with braces or an orthodontic referral. We’ll be honest about options and map out the best path for your smile.
How clear aligners work
Life with clear aligners
- Eat what you like. Remove trays for meals and snacks - no food lists to memorize.
- Easy home care. Brush and floss normally; clean trays with a soft brush and cool water.
- Talking & comfort. Speech adjusts in a day or two. Mild pressure with a new set is normal.
- Travel friendly. Take your next set(s) along. If a tray is lost or cracked, call us - we’ll get you back on track.
- Compliance matters. Wearing aligners as directed is the #1 factor in how fast you finish.
How long does treatment take?
Most cases run 6–18 months, depending on the amount of movement and how consistently trays are worn.
How many hours per day do I need to wear them?
Plan on 20–22 hours/day. Only remove aligners to eat, drink anything besides water, and brush/floss.
Will it hurt?
Expect light pressure or tenderness for a day or two when you switch to a new tray. Over-the-counter pain relievers usually handle it.
Do teens qualify?
Yes. Responsible teens do very well with clear aligners. We’ll discuss growth, compliance, and sports/music considerations at the consult.
What if a tray is lost or cracked?
Call us. Depending on timing, we may have you move to the next tray, back up to the prior one, or replace the current set.
What are attachments - and will they show?
Small tooth-colored “bumps” help certain movements. They blend with teeth and are removed when you finish.
Will I need a retainer?
Yes. A nighttime retainer keeps your smile where we placed it. We’ll review retainer care and replacement options.
Are clear aligners the same as braces?
They achieve similar results for many mild-to-moderate cases but with removable trays instead of brackets and wires. For complex movements, we’ll discuss whether braces or a specialist is a better fit.
