Dental Bonding & Tooth Contouring in Centennial, CO
Small fixes can change the whole smile. With bonding and contouring we smooth rough edges, repair tiny chips, close small gaps, and even camouflage stubborn spots – often in a single visit and without numbing. We custom-tint the resin so it blends with your enamel and polish it to a natural shine.
New patients welcome. Most PPO plans accepted; membership discounts available.
What bonding & contouring can do
Bonding adds tooth-colored resin; contouring gently reshapes enamel. Together, they’re ideal for:
- Small chips or worn corners on front teeth
- Tiny gaps or “black triangles” near the gums
- Uneven edges or slight length differences
- White/brown spots or craze lines that whitening won’t lift
- Minor shape tweaks to improve symmetry
If you’re aiming for a bigger change across many teeth (color + shape + length), we’ll talk through porcelain veneers as a longer-lasting option. Either way, you’ll see photos and a clear plan before we start.
What we can fix in one visit
How long it lasts - and how to keep it looking great
Your comfort comes first. We’ll numb the area, isolate the tooth to keep it dry, and remove only the weak or decayed enamel. Then we restore the tooth so it functions well and looks natural.
- Expect 3–7+ years with good home care; we can repolish or touch up if it dulls
- Rinse after coffee/tea/red wine and avoid biting ice, pens, or packages.
- If you clench or grind, we’ll talk about a nightguard to protect the edges.
- Most PPO plans classify bonding as cosmetic; we’ll check benefits and provide a written estimate.
Do bonding or contouring hurt?
Most patients don’t need numbing. You may feel light vibration while we smooth or polish; it’s quick and well-tolerated.
Can bonding close small gaps?
Yes – adding a tiny amount of resin can close narrow spaces or “black triangles” near the gums with very natural results.
Will the bonded area stain?
Resin can pick up color over time. Regular cleanings, good brushing, and rinsing after dark beverages help. We can buff and re-polish during checkups.
How strong is bonding?
It’s strong for everyday use but not as hard as porcelain. Don’t bite ice or hard objects. If you clench, we may recommend a nightguard.
Can you fix a chipped front tooth the same day?
Often, yes. Call before you come – the repair and polish usually take 30–60 minutes per tooth.
